TRUMBULL PISCES PARENT’S MEETING

Approximately 26 parents attended the meeting.
Tom reviewed the
following:
- The Swimming clinics were very well
received
- The Ben Michaelson clinic went
well
- This starts the first week of the Spring
Summer season
- The Newest Board members were
introduced
Tom explained to the parents that the Board meets once
per month and if a parent would like to speak, the Board can reserve the first
30 minutes of the meeting. However, Tom suggested that the
parents try to find satisfaction elsewhere first to get a resolution, i.e. with
the coaches or a specific board member before bringing an issue to the Board
meeting. However, the Board meetings are open to the parents, as long as
they email Tom or Laura in advance so that time can be set
aside.
Rules and Housekeeping
Issues were explained:
- Keep the stands clean of debris, water
bottles, etc
- No siblings in the hall
- Swim bags can NOT be left in the locker
rooms
- Mark all personal items
- Email will be sent for communications
including changes to the schedule and cancellations.
Meets:
USA Meet
Schedule
- All entries are completed.
- Swimmers MUST get to the meets 15 minutes
prior to the start of the meet. If for some reason, you are running late
or caught in traffic, please call Coach Mike, his telephone number is on the
website. However, he can not guarantee that he will have a signal inside
the pool area.
- University of
Bridgeport – parent are
supposed to be dropping off their swimmers.
- Mitra will send out billing statements
for the meet fees.
- All female (and male swimmers, if
they wish) swimmers are required to wear their TRUMBULL PISCES Swim
caps
CSSL

- Confirmations will be made for firm
dates
- Swimmers are automatically entered if
there is a date change

Normally 7am-10am M-F but it maybe at Univ of
Bpt

questions:
- Can summer practice be at Tashua
pool? TP has been unable to secure pool time at Tashua but Tom will
speak with Mary Markham again about this possibility.
- Should swimmers be doing any cross
training?
No, although it does depend on
the age and goals of the swimmers.
They can stretch, run and use
stretch cords but no weights.
